Topic: William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet"
Task:
William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet, Acts IV and V: Back to the Roots (?!?)

Taking Shakespeare back where he belongs, i.e. THE STAGE, in TWO TEAMS with EIGHT MEMBERS EACH
1. Discuss which of the scenes from acts IV or V you would like to bring to the stage. At the end
of this discussion you ought to have come to an agreement as to the one scene that you
would like to perform with your team.
2. Team casting: discuss which role / job (e.g. light, sound, camera, prompter) should be assigned
to the individual members of your team.
3. Prepare your scene for the performance on stage. You may decide in favour of a "traditional"
or a "modern" version of Shakespeare. Allow for everything that you need (e.g. props, sound,
light, etc.).
4. Performance (camera recording)
5. Evaluation and discussion (the entire group + teacher)
Team sessions: Tuesday, April 24 (rest of the period), Wednesday, April 25 (double period),
Friday, April 27 (double period)
Performance: Wednesday, May 2 (double period)
Evaluation: Friday, May 4 (double period)

The result:
The performance of scene IV.2 (12,6 MB)
(mpeg clip, real player needed)
