The discussion about landrights
The very different cultures of the Aborigines and the white Australians and the contrary opinions about the meaning of land make it very difficult to find a solution to the question who possesses the land.
On the one hand, there is the Aboriginal culture and their traditional relation to their land and its importance for the survival of the Aborigines, on the other hand, there is the ignorance and inexperience of the whites about these matters and their demands and needs to maintain a modern state with a flourishing economy and industry.
In the following you can read two fictitious speeches representing the white and the Aboriginal view. These speeches, of course, have been written by German students and shall be understood as an attempt 'to be in someone else's shoes'.
